The battalion organized with four companies: A, administration; B, maintenance; C, supply and service; and D, medical, as well as a headquarters element. Departed Vietnam: 29 April 1971 Previous Station: Fort Benning Authorized Strength: Battalion 1966 - 461 / 1968 - 481 / 1970 - 281 The 15th Supply & Service Battalion provided divisional-level combat supply and service support to include all classes of material, as well as even supplying a "fire-base kit," complete with concertina wire, timbers, support steel culverts for hootches and thousands of sandbags. Departed Vietnam: 15 April 1971 Previous Station: Vietnam Authorized Strength: HHC - 117 The 34th Supply & Service Battalion was responsible for commanding, controlling and supervising the operations, employment and administration of assigned units providing direct logistical service support to non divisional units. The battalion was quartermaster previous to July 1966. The battalion served at An Khe as the An Khe Sub Area Command under the U.S. Army Support Command, Qui Nhon. On 1 March 1968 it was relocated to Da Nang, where it came under the 80th General Support Group and U.S. Army Support Command, Da Nang. It assumed the mission of establishing and operating the army depot at Da Nang. In August 1970 the battalion made its final move to Tan Son Nhut under USARV. 75th Support Battalion (Mechanized Brigade)Arrived Vietnam: 26 July 1968
